DJ Macgyver is hosting an all-day party in Soweto on Saturday to celebrate his birthday. Musicians who will perform include Winnie Khumalo, Kelly Khumalo, Chomee and Tina.
"I want to share my special day with my fans and Soweto is where they are at," he says.
MacG Mukwevho, who turned 22 on the 7th of November, says Mzambia, Mr. Selwyn and Ntombi Ngcobo as well as Donald and Siya Shezi will also be performing.
DJs appearing alongside him will be Mo Flava, Shimza, China, Bobstar, Terrance, Mzee, Zan D, Willy and Culoe De Song.
The party will be held at Godfrey Moloi’s mansion in Protea Glen, Soweto.
It starts from 11am till late. Admission is R30 before 8pm, then R50 thereafter.
MacG said he does not want to make money out of the function - Funds raised would go towards paying for the venue and a contribution towards all the artists, plus set up of venue/stage etc.

Q Where are you originally from?
A Padzima in Limpopo - I came to Joburg when I was about 9 years old.
Q If you were not in your current profession, what would you be doing?
A I think I would probably be a soccer player. I have always been passionate about the game and I buy all the FIFA Xbox and PS3 latest releases. I am not very good at playing soccer on the field but I am great on a console.
Q Who would you invite for dinner if the opportunity presented itself?
A Madiba of course - he is an inspiration to the whole world. I would also invite Revin John who is also a DJ - I admire his style and think that he is very talented. Ronaldo would also be on my list because he is my favourite soccer star. And lastly Megan Good because she is so hot.
Q What is your favourite food?
A Just simple pap and chicken.

A Axwell - Leave the world behind
Q What is your favourite genre of music?
A I listen to all genres of music but my favourite would have to be House. I listen to Hip Hop. I am not a big fan of R&B but I do also listen to Kwaito and Rock.
Q How did you get involved in TV presenting (on the Crazee children’s show)?
A I used to admire Carly and Mandisa from YoTV and I thought to myself I want to do that one day. I then heard about a new television station (eTV) that was opening and I went directly to their offices and told them that I would do anything to be on TV. Luckily enough the manager believed in my talent and gave me an opportunity.
Q How do you think you benefited from being exposed to the world of TV?
A I think that I was very fortunate. I matured a lot quicker than I should have because I was always around adults. I also started to earn my own money and I did not have to rely on my mum for pocket money. The experience taught me quickly how to handle my own finances.
Q Would you be the same person today if you had not been become a TV presenter?
A I definitely would not know as much about life as I know now if I had not become a presenter. I learned so much from the production crew that I was surrounded by. I was inspired by many people that I had the opportunity to interview as well. I took many different things from many different people and that has made me the person I am today.
Q What are you driving and if money was not an obstacle what would you be driving?
A I drive a Mini Cooper and even if I had heaps of money I would still be driving a Mini because I am not really big into cars. All that matters is that I can get from point A to point B.
Q What is your favourite holiday destination?
A In South Africa it would have to be Cape Town because it is so chilled. Angola is my favourite spot in Africa so far - the women are so beautiful out there. Internationally I really fancy going to Spain and Ibiza - I have heard such great things about those places.
Q What do you do in your spare time?
A I don’t have much time off but when I do I like to kick back and play on my Xbox. I also enjoy a bit of tennis and chilling with my friends. I do play a bit of soccer too plus practice my DJ skills.
Q Tell us about your friendship circle
A The majority of my friends are people that I met at school. I also hang out with my cousins and generally get everyone to go with me when I do gigs. My truest friends are definitely the ones that I met at school.
Q Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
A I want to be the best that I can in my profession and that is radio broadcasting - it is my first love. Whether it takes 2 - 5 years or 10, that is what I want to do.
Q Do you smoke and drink?
A I tried smoking but it was not my thing. I do drink on occasion and when I do, I drink responsibly.
Q Do you remember your first kiss?
A Oh yes I do. We were playing truth, dare and command. It was quite weird but nice at the same time. I will never forget the kiss because it was my first. I can’t remember her name but she was hot!
Q Do you currently have a girlfriend?
A No no no no - I recently broke up. It was actually on the day of Michael Jackson’s death. I am pretty single.
Q What type of young ladies do you go for?
A (Laughs) Well, first of all, she has to be hot! That’s a formality. No, for real now, I don’t like girls that are materialistic. I prefer that they are humble and down to earth.
