Hip Hop star P. Diddy celebrated his 40th birthday with guests including Jay-Z, Bono, Nelly and Denzel Washington at a "Garden of Eden" themed bash.
There was also a private performance from the American gospel singer Al Green.
The party - which cost him a whopping R22 million - was held at New York’s Plaza Hotel last Thursday (19.11.09).
P. Diddy - real name Sean Combs – had invited altogether 500 people to celebrate with him.
He treated them to gallons of champagne and Ciroc vodka - which is his own brand of the spirit - and a silver confetti drop.
P. Diddy – who is one of the richest hip-hop stars with an estimated net worth of R2.5 billion – decorated the venue with a R225,000 orchid display, a black dance floor and a black chandelier.
A source said: “He really pushed the boat out for this one – and then some. It was an amazing party and Diddy was on great form”.
