The price of both 93 and 95 octane petrol will go up by 27 cents a litre on December 2, the Department of Energy has announced.

Diesel prices will also increase, with 0.05% sulphur up by 25 cents a litre and 0.005% sulphur up 26 cents per litre.

Wholesale paraffin increases by 29 cents and illuminating paraffin by 39 cents per litre.

Petrol in Gauteng will cost R7.92 a litre, and R7.69 at the coast.
