A 30-year-old Mpumalanga lesbian cop has shot and wounded her soon-to-be bride in the buttocks during a drunken stupor at the weekend.

Constable PN Msimang of Embalenhle police appeared in the Evander magistrate’s court near Secunda yesterday on charges of attempted murder and damage to property.

The couple has been staying together at the Embalenhle police barracks until Saturday evening when Msimang allegedly came home drunk. Her partner, identified as Bongi Ndlovu, 28, first locked her inside their room and was then later shot through the door when she tried to set Msimang free.
