More from Maditaba …
A grand Moët gala, sans Bonang, Somizi
Instead, Madi was treated to the likes of Blue Mbombo, who probably pronounces Moët as "Moot", as in, the court. Sigh!
Africa Day rally no place for heels
Africa Day was upon us last week, and Madi made her way to Sunnyside, Pretoria, for the EFF Africa Day celebration rally.
Madi's cousin cuts it to replace her here
Madi's long-lost cousin is set to ascend the celebrity police throne in Madi's absence.
Our clearly talented and dearly departed
Madi attended Akhumzi Jezile's funeral at the weekend. Wow. It was absolutely gut-wrenching. Madi prays that his beautiful soul rests in peace. But, can we discuss how amazing Kelly Khumalo's voice is for 10 marks? She gave a beautiful rendition at the funeral and Madi's jaw dropped to the floor, and Madi had goose bumps that required eczema ointment.
Roast didn't really make toast of Somizi
Madi thought Nomzamo Mbatha looked great, although the dress was a bit too tight.
Prove it's your real birthday on invite
Ms Cosmo looked great too. And yes, her famous camel toe was left at home for once, dankie tog.
Mama, you were the best. Rest in peace
Madi has a heavy heart this week. She still can't believe that we buried Mama Winnie at the weekend. Being the hardcore fan she was of Mama Winnie's, Madi painstakingly attended all the proceedings for the funeral, starting with the everyday gatherings outside her home. Madi was there except she couldn't join in the toyi-toying and singing of Struggle songs because her killer heels wouldn't allow it.
Saftas in urgent need of prolific sponsors
So, let's talk everything the South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas) that took place at Sun City on Saturday night. Of course yours truly was there with her mighty red pen to bring you who wore what, and who should perhaps stop buying red-carpet gear at clearance sales. But Madi needs to first get something off her chest.
Real or imagined, Nciza does not look her age
Madi thought that Nciza went to school with Mercy Phakela.
Well done guys, but I'll pass the sandwich
In Mzansi a lot of records have been broken. Anele Mdoda's dance partner in Strictly Come Dancing broke the record for the Man Who Survived a Double Storey House Tumbling On Top Of Him when Anele decided to squash him like a bug on the dance floor. Tebogo Lerole broke the record for the Man Who Conquered Khanyi Mbau With Pennywhistle Cents and Babes Wodumo broke the Silly Things Spewer record.
