Former EFF MP Thilivhali Mulaudzi has rejoined the ANC.
Mulaudzi, who resigned as the Red Beret MP to further his studies in June last year, was among a group of people who were unveiled by the ANC during a campaign trail in Limpopo. The former Venda traffic police officer boss is now an admitted attorney.
Mulaudzi told Sowetan that his decision to rejoin the ANC was taken after careful consideration. “[The] ANC is my home, and I took a conscious decision to return to the party that taught me politics. I didn’t leave the EFF as an angry man, and I didn’t fight with the leadership or anyone in the party,” he said.
ANC spokesperson in Limpopo Donald Selamolela said the party has welcomed back into its fold about 50 of its former members who had joined other political parties.
He said the ANC in Limpopo views the "homecoming" of those who left it as an affirmation of the superiority of its policies and programmes.
