I never thought the ANC conference in KwaZulu-Natal could be so smooth given the factional battles in the party. Many expected chairs and water bottles to fly as well as the wielding of guns. I hope other ANC provinces have learnt from the KZN ANC on how to run smooth conferences.
However, the new leadership will be worse than the previous one. I thought members of the ANC in KZN have accepted Jacob Zuma has done wrong and would not sing Wenzeni uZuma. I thought this time around they would have left their tribalist mentality at home.
It appears President Cyril Ramaphosa and his capitalist friends will never be forgiven for making Zuma resign and jailing him. Some ANC members and supporters think Zuma was forced to sell the country to the Guptas.
Zuma went out to look for trouble with his fellow hyenas. Why should other people be blamed for his stupid immoral and unethical behaviour?. He was a revolutionary but in my view he soiled his legacy when he started stealing public money. Zuma brought these miseries upon himself .
He had well-paid political jobs as MEC, deputy president as well as president of the country. But he was not satisfied with these big salaries. He also had shares in big companies he loathed in public. He wanted to be a billionaire. How can a public office bearer become a billionaire? If a public office bearer becomes a billionaire, it means they stole from the public purse.
The singing of Wenzeni uZuma by his fellow hyenas and supporters will not change anything from the state capture report. Those who believe Zuma has done nothing wrong are equally guilty of corruption. It is not surprising to see all ANC crooks and thieves use their Struggle credentials when they face challenges. When they are confronted about lack of service delivery they resort to using vulgar language.
People like Nelson Mandela came out of Robben Island matured and focused. What is so special about Zuma? Is it because he spent 10 years on Robben Island and nearly 17 years in exile? In my view, there is nothing he learnt from Robben Island.
Sihle Zikalala said one of the reasons the ANC lost 18 municipalities in KZN is not corruption but unemployment. The ANC in all metros has been punished by middle class voters and not by unemployed people.
Another reason it lost 18 municipalities is that people punished it because of the incarceration of Zuma. Also, there is no comrade from KZN in the top six. If KZN ANC fails to secure a top six position in December, it could spell disaster for the ANC in the 2024 national elections as party supporters vote along tribal lines.
It would appear Zuma is a cult leader and followers of cult leaders do whatever their leaders tell them to do. They can kill opponents of their leaders, destroy infrastructure that took many years to build in the blink of an eye.
He used the ANC as a tribal organisation. Founders of the ANC fought tribalism but Zuma brought it back.
uZuma Wenzeni? He stole public money. His supporters argue that he should be pardoned. You only pardon people who confess that they have erred. Zuma has denied any wrongdoing.
His fellow RET hyenas say he needs a political solution. There will be no political solution because he did not steal ANC money but taxpayers’ money.
