Post-1994 was the beginning of reconstructing the nation after the atrocities inflicted by apartheid.

Rebuilding is a much more difficult task than dismantling. It takes less time to demolish but a very long time to build.

It takes patience and sacrifice to lay a stable state. Apartheid has caused damage in this country.

The hoisting of the apartheid flag during the the so-called #BlackMonday shows much still needs to be done, the brutal acts perpetuated against domestic workers and farm workers bears reference.

People may analyse the current leadership of the ANC whatsoever way they may see fit.

However, they must not forget to quantify the damage the apartheid system has inflicted on the economy and education.

It has promoted inequality, racial segregation and the dispossession Africans.
